Things really needed?

Yesterday morning, as I was leaving the house, I realized that I had forgotten a book I wanted to have with me.  I charged back through the door, with a loud, hollow “thud” welcoming me back on the other side.  No, it was not my thick-headed dog Moose, but my two-year old Peter.  By the time I recognized that my victim had two legs and not four, he was already sent back tumbling to the ground.  Luckily, I did not succeed in giving my first born his first concussion before the first grade.  Reports on the scene later confirmed that he was renaming my hard drive and giggling at the computer screen moments later.

However, I reflected that same afternoon that I didn’t even open that book I retrieved.  A foolish, regrettable incident on my part for sure, but have you had a similar occurrence?
